The Philadelphia 76ers will be drafting 10th, 26th, 38th, 39th, 56th and 60th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft. There are some interesting players that the team could select if they don’t trade any of the picks, which is more likely than not. Let’s take a look at some potential targets for the Sixers.
1) Mikal Bridges
A Villanova product, Mikal Bridges is a perfect fit in today’s NBA. He’s a high end 3 and D wing who can score from all three levels and defend multiple positions. He has some surprising athleticism and would be a perfect player to pair with Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. Having another perimeter player who can score and defend is a need for the Sixers, as seen in the series against the Boston Celtics.

2) Miles Bridges
Miles Bridges, who has no relation to Mikal Bridges, is also a player who can immediately contribute for the Sixers. He’s not the shooter that Mikal is but he is improving. He has an NBA ready body with a 6’7 230 pound frame. Even though he isn’t a great shooter, he can still get you some buckets. He plays aggressively and is a terrific athlete. Despite being listed as a small forward, he may be most successful as a small ball 4 in the league.
Pro Comparison: Shawn Marion
3) Gary Trent Jr.
Gary Trent Jr. is an offensively polished guard who can really shoot the ball. He has good size for a shooting guard(6’5) and could provide some bench scoring for the 76ers. He isn’t a good athlete but that doesn’t stop him from being effective on the court. Gary Trent Jr. could be a player the 76ers target with their late 1st round pick.
Pro Comparison: Gary Harris
4) Grayson Allen
Grayson Allen is a gritty scorer who can shoot the ball from deep or take it strong to the hole. He has really improved his draft stock at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. He’s a confident player who isn’t afraid to do what needs to get done, which perfectly represents the City of Brotherly Love. Allen could be someone that the 76ers use to help replace J.J. Redick if they sign LeBron James and don’t have the money to resign him.
Pro Comparison: Rex Chapman, Austin Rivers
5) Rodions Kurucs
Rodions Kurucs is a 6’9 small forward from Latvia. He has plenty of offensive potential. Kurucs a good shooter and can finish well at the rim. He’s a decent athlete but he isn’t very strong and doesn’t have good lateral quickness which could hurt him as a defender, especially if he’s matching up against other small forwards in the league. He’s a solid draft and stash prospect the Sixers could take with one of their second round picks.
