The Eagles have released their first injury report of the week. Although the team didn’t hold a practice, they did send out an estimation as to what the report would have looked like.

Practice Report

Limited Participation in Practice

Wednesday

LB Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring)

Full Participation in Practice

Wednesday

RB Jay Ajayi (ankle)

Of course, the main takeaway here is that staring MLB Dannell Ellerbe is still battling a hamstring injury. The former New Orleans Saint missed the NFC Championship fixture against Minnesota due to the strain, with the impact of the injury seeming to slow him down and limit his impact on the field.

In his place, Najee Goode made the start for the Eagles, giving up the team’s lone touchdown of the game against Minnesota. Needless to say, the run defense would receive a huge boost with the veteran back in the fold. A week off to heal will certainly be cherished by Ellerbe and the Eagles.

Surprisingly, Jay Ajayi also appears on the list with an ankle injury. Ajayi didn’t seem to show any signs of injury during the emphatic win on Sunday and will be more than likely a full participant in the practices ahead.
