It’s that time again. The Eagles are just a few hours away from a fiery showdown with the Dallas Cowboys and neither tensions or expectations could be higher. Who will prevail? Let’s ask our writers.
Liam “Cup of Tea” Jenkins: 7-1
The Cowboys have sustained just as many “hard to swallow” injuries as the Eagles, but the difference is that the Birds always seem to have a contingency plan. Missing Tyron Smith will be huge for Dallas as the Eagles pass rush beckons. However, this is an all-or-nothing game for the Cowboys and one in which a franchise quarterback will be expected to step up. The Eagles add yet another win to their tally, but Dallas keep it close.
Eagles 27 Cowboys 23
Chris “Has the best sounding name of any of our writers” Coviello 7-1
The Eagles head to Big D coming off their bye week for a battle with the Cowboys. There’s a huge opportunity for the Eagles to open up a very comfortable lead in the division with a prime time win. The Cowboys seem ripe for the taking with Zeke suspended, Sean Lee out and Tyron Smith probably out. We saw what their offense looked like last week with Smith out. The Eagles have to avoid getting off to a slow start coming off the bye. Ronald Darby is going to be back and Jay Ajayi is expected to have a much bigger workload. I’m expecting a statement Eagles victory with Carson Wentz carving up the Cowboys poor secondary. Another 3 or 4 TDs from Carson and an Ajayi TD with a dominant defensive effort locks up an Eagles win.
Tyler “The need for” Steege 6-1
Nothing better than Eagles and Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. No Tyron Smith will be the biggest factor for Dak Prescott against the Eagles’ defensive line.
Eagles 33 Cowboys 20
Ant “The new guy” Brinkley 5-0
With Darby coming back and Sean Lee out for Dallas, I can’t see a way Dallas wins this game. Dak is going to be running for his life the entire game from the Eagles front 7. Dallas’ defense struggles on 3rd down and Wentz is magic on 3rd down.
