Report: Injury to Eagles LT Jason Peters may not be as severe as first expected

The Eagles suffered two massive blows last night, losing both Jordan Hicks and veteran left tackle Jason Peters to injury. While the impact of losing two team-leaders can be devastating, the injury sustained by Peters may not be as bad as we first expected.

According to Ian Rapoport, the belief is that the nine-time pro bowler tore his MCL…which is a huge sigh of relief after he was carted off the field with an air cast on his leg last night. As the Eagles flooded the field to support one of the all-time greats, nobody really knew just how severe the injury was.

A torn MCL at least gives Peters a chance to potentially to return to Football. It may not necessarily be this year (we will receive more information after the MRI has been completed), but the 35-year old’s Hall of Fame career may have one last burst before the curtains fall one of the most decorated linemen of all time.
