The Eagles had a strong start to their season opener, going up 14-0 as the second quarter unveiled and keeping Cousins and the Offense under wraps. As the Redskins took back possession however, newly signed cornerback Ronald Darby suffered what looked to be a serious injury.

It was a non-contact injury, with the former Buffalo Bill appearing to lose his footing and see his ankle snap away from him when covering a Redskins receiver. The cart came out and the game ended abruptly for one of the team’s most promising players.

The Eagles only kept three cornerbacks active on gameday, meaning that Robinson will likely move outside or Jaylen Watkins will come down and fill the void from his Safety spot.

We’re sending our prayers to Ronald Darby in what is a time of uncertainty.
