Howie Roseman has pulled off a stunning move for the Philadelphia Eagles, signing star receiver Alshon Jeffery to a one-year contract.
Alshon Jeffery to the Eagles for 1 year — $14M

The deal is said to be worth $14M..which is convenient for both parties. The Eagles don’t have a luxurious amount of cap space, and Jeffery wants to be paid like one of the top receivers in the NFL. A one-year prove it deal in a sense, removes the “what if?” factor from the deals of DeMarco Murray and Byron Maxwell of past, while ensuring Carson Wentz has a true star on the outside for next season..giving the Eagles a stern receiving corps.
Although his 2016 season was stagnated due to a suspension, Jeffery had his best years under a WR coach who now finds his home in the City of Brotherly Love. The connection with newly hired WR coach Mike Groh, combined with 4,549 yards and 26-touchdowns make the 27-year old an incredibly exciting prospect.
The Eagles will move forward with a starting trio consisting of Torrey Smith, Alshon Jeffery, Jordan Matthews…CAN WE GET EXCITED YET?
