Now we know who the Union will be playing in 2017! Come back to Philly Sports Network before the season to get an in-depth look at how the opponents the Union will face!  Now let’s move onto the Union’s new players acquired through the SuperDraft.

Yesterday’s SuperDraft yielded a winger and a right back who played on the same MLS combine team. The Union drafted forward Marcus Epps with the 25th pick in the draft. They traded the 42nd pick and $50,000 to Minnesota United for it! here’s a look at what Epps can do!

Seven picks later, the Union drafted defender Aaron Jones! Here’s some of his highlights from the combine!

Both Earnie Stewart and Jim Curtin loved these guys! Here are their thoughts:

The Union have found two promising young players who they can bring into camp. Epps will do his best to push the Herbers, and Ilsinho on the right-wing; Jones will do the same pushing Rosenberry and Gaddis. Will they be Union players, or shipped to Bethlehem Steel to get playing time? We’ll see how these players progress in the coming weeks!

Be sure to come back to Philly Sports Network for in-depth analysis on the new Union players, rookie/signings, and how they are can to push this club to bigger better things in 2017!
