Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has taken the NFL by storm through the opening three games of his rookie career, not only leading his team to 3-0 and being one of the very few quarterbacks yet to turn the ball over, but picking up an abundance of accolades along the way.

From NFC player of the week to NFL Rookie of the Month, the former North Dakota State quarterback has done nothing but impress since the moment he was handed the starting role after the Eagles traded Sam Bradford to the Vikings..but if Carson Wentz can win on Sunday at Ford Field..he will make history in the most emphatic way yet.

No team has ever started the season 4-0 with a rookie quarterback…EVER. The Broncos are 4-0, but Siemian was drafted in the seventh round of 2015 and the play of Paxton Lynch makes them exempt from this landmark, giving Carson Wentz a shot at achieving something no quarterback or team has achieved before.

With the Lions struggling to force turnovers and missing four key players including DE Ziggy Ansah, TE Eric Ebron and LB DeAndre Levy, the odds certainly seem to be in the favor of an Eagles Offense that lead the league in time of possession and can manage the clock as efficiently as the finest Offenses in the NFL.

The poise and calmness surrounding Carson Wentz through what has been a month filled with stardom, media pressure and unexpected success has to be applauded. The mentality, focus and veteran leadership that the 23-year old has shown so far has been nothing short of incredible..but will it be enough to make history on Sunday?
