After a report last week suggested that it was unlikely for Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor to be prosecuted for the sexual assault case that faced him and today, the report was confirmed.

Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams confirmed today that Nelson Agholor would not face charges. The official report states the following:

“The District Attorney’s Family Violence and Sexual Assault Unit and detectives from the Philadelphia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit thoroughly investigated the allegations of sexual assault against Nelson Agholor. As a result of this joint investigation, our staff and the Police reached the conclusion that we lacked sufficient evidence to bring charges against Mr. Agholor, therefore no charges will be filed.”

A dancer from a strip club close to the Nova Care Complex accused Nelson Agholor of sexual assault shortly after the team’s offseason program came to an end. Those close to the Eagles wideout were sure that he wouldn’t face any prosecution and today they were proved right.

Nelson Agholor is scheduled to report to Training Camp on July 27th.
