Both Doug Pederson and Howie Roseman are at the NFL Scouting Combine this week and met the media moments ago. He had some interesting things to say about the Eagles current starter who is set to hit Free Agency on March 9th if the two parties can’t come to an agreement.

The interviews at the combine definitely shed a lot of light on the situation and the general consensus is that the Eagles want Sam Bradford back but do have a plan in place in case that isn’t an option.

When asked if the Eagles did have a plan in place if the Eagles don’t come to an agreement with Bradford, Pederson had this to say:

“We do have a plan in place and I obviously won’t go into who we’re looking at”

However Ian Rapoport shed some light on that moments later.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding who the Eagles are going to draft at number 13 but Doug Pederson went out of the way to say that this years draft class playes no role on the Sam Bradford decision.

“Not at all, these kids are talented and several who can have opportunities in the NFL but by no means does it effect what we do in our current situation”.

The Eagles Head Coach claimed when asked if the team have a plan in the case that Bradford doesn’t re-sign in Philadelphia.

“You have to want to be somewhere and I think Sam wants to be in Philadelphia” “Sam’s part of the Eagles organization and what he’s done in the last half of last year has given him that opportunity to stay in Philadelphia.”

Pederson also continued to talk about Chase Daniel by comparing him to Mark Sanchez before calling the Sanchize a “cushion”.

Howie Roseman took to the podium moments later and told the media that the Eagles will be running into Sam Bradford’s agent within the next few days.

He went on to say “we’ve been pretty clear all along that we’d like to have Sam Bradford back.”

The question is…is Condon going to settle for what the Eagles can offer?
