It’s been an eventful day for the Eagles who have seen the foundations of their 2016 team laid out in front of them..but they could be on the verge of finalising their coaching plans already..and they may not involve current Offensive Coordinator Pat Shurmur.
Rams have asked permission to interview pat Shurmur for OC vacancy. Should Eagles hire Frank Reich as expected, would be a natural move…

According to Jason La Canfora, the now relocated LA Rams have requested to interview Pat Shurmur for their Offensive Coordinator position. Now this is highly coincidental considering that the Eagles have not only hired a new Defensive Coordinator but are rumoured to be interested in Frank Reich who worked with the Chargers last season and whose name was thrown into the mix by Pederson himself.
For the Rams however, this is also a smart move bearing in mind that Shurmur worked with Nick Foles during his short yet rollercoaster tenure in Philadelphia. Foles struggled in his first season away from the Linc, who better to help him back onto the horse than a man who watched him from the vert first snap he took as an Eagles Quarterback?
Shurmur led the Eagles as interim Head Coach for the final game of the season against the Giants after Kelly’s sudden firing and was widely tipped to be in the Head Coach Race or as we speculated, potentially replace Ryan Day as the teams Quarterback Coach to work closely with Sam Bradford.
