A day after we predicted that there was an elaborate plan to keep Sam Bradford in Philadelphia which would see Pat Shurmur become the teams new Quarterback coach, reports are suggesting that the Eagles are going after Frank Reich to become the new Eagles Offensive Coordinator.
Plan is for Frank Reich to be OC under Pederson. RT @NationOfEagles: @RapSheet as OC or a positional coach?”

Our article (which you can read here) yesterday suggested that Shurmur would become the teams new Quarterback coach after Ryan Day reportedly followed Chip Kelly to San Francisco. This not only opens up the position for Pederson to bring in a name who he’s familiar and comfortable with, but also sweetens Sam Bradford who has a lot of chemistry and praise for Shurmur.
Reich was fired by the Chargers but prior to the firing his offense ranked inside the top half of the league in yards before dropping to 20th a year later. The two also briefly worked together as Quarterbacks in Carolina.
It will be interesting to see how much substance there is to these reports after rumours first began to speculate yesterday. The Eagles are already making a lot of moves behind the scenes hiring a defensive assistant in Flajole and bringing in Tim Hauck as a DB coach..this would be the first signing on the Offensive side of the football the team make with Pederson at the helm and arguably the most important.
