Just moments after Eagles fans suffered the biggest shock of their rollercoaster season so far, they could well be about to experience another. According to Jeff McLane, it looks like Howie Roseman will return to the Eagles to head the personnel department.

The Eagles effectively shunned Roseman to give Chip Kelly power over the 90-man roster decisions back in January and moved him to “Vice president of Football Operations”.

But depending on who the Eagles decide to hire as Chips replacement, Roseman could well be on the most unlikely path to a GM role in the history of the franchise. It would certainly be a strange move to restore his former power and you can only imagine it playing out like a scene from One Tree Hill but it could actually benefit the birds.
