According to a release from the teams website, the Philadelphia Eagles have parted ways with Head Coach Chip Kelly following a second consecutive season without playoff Football.
The team kept the move very quiet and released a statement to season ticket holders just moments ago. Owner Jeffery Lurie said in the statement
“We appreciate all the contributions that Chip Kelly made and wish him every success going forward.”
Pat Shurmur will be interim head coach for the game against the New York Giants.

According to sources, Ed Marynowitz has also been fired by the Eagles and it’s rumoured that Tom Donohoe is to assume his position.
