Seahawks cut former Eagles cornerback Cary Williams

Redskins Eagles football

Less than 12 months after the Eagles had gotten rid of Cary Williams, the corner has been cut yet again. According to Ian Rapoport, the Seattle Seahawks have cut the former Eagles corner after the Hawks signed him to replace Byron Maxwell.

The worst part (best for Eagles fans) is that he came with a three-year contract worth $18 million. Ouch. He will cost the team close to $2 million in dead cap space following the release.

The 30 year old continued to struggle in recent weeks after a dismal start to the year. He then became a healthy scratch in the teams last two games. Jeremy Lane took his spot and will presumably continue to do so. How bad was Williams?

Well, the Legion of Boom has become the Legion of Gloom (I have waited so long to say that) as they rank number 2 in the NFL when it comes to total yards allowed and number 4 in total passing yards….eek.

Meanwhile, Eagles fans sit there like..
