We’re just two days away from the Eagles showdown with the New England Patriots and it appears what is an already worrying situation could be set to become even more so.

As expected, the running game is going to yet again be with Ryan Mathews as the Eagles most dynamic running back is still out with a concussion and groin injury. Murray, Sproles and Kenjon Barner will once again hold the fort but will struggle without their most explosive running back..especially against a good run Defense.

To make matters worse, Jason Peters is listed as questionable again and after the recent controversy surrounding the “backup” issue, it will be interesting to see if he dresses as injury woes continue to plague the Eagles’ most prolific lineman. It’s worth noting that Peters did only play in 10 snaps last week.

On the Defensive side of things the situation isn’t much better. Cedric Thornton is also listed as questionable. The Eagles pass-rush has struggled all season long and this could be the game where it’s needed most. If Thornton is indeed sidelined this will be a huge blow to the Eagles.

The good news however is that Quarterback Sam Bradford has been listed as probable ahead of Sunday’s game following a two week absence due to an AC Joint injury and a concussion. There is no official word on if he will start or no but Chip Kelly has already confirmed that if he’s healthy, he will play on Sunday.
