After picking up a hamstring injury that was looked at on Monday, defensive Mufsa DeMeco Ryans will not practice today after his huge game against the Giants.
Whilst Ryans is sidelined today, he is expected to play on Sunday against the Panthers which is a very promising sign.
The Eagles Defensive coordinator Bill Davis has also alluded to the return of both Mychal Kendricks and Kiko Alonso who have been sidelined since the week 2 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Kendricks made a brief return before re-injuring his hamstring in week 4 against the Redskins but both will take to the practice field today to see how much recovery progress has been made.
Whilst it’s unlikely that either linebacker will make an appearance against Carolina, seeing them both take some reps in practice is going to surely be a big step forward. Luckily, it’s not as though the linebacker core is struggling right now which means both Alonso and Kendricks are able to rehab their injuries back to 100% without the pressure of knowing that the Defense is struggling.
