Flyers starting lineup for season opener revealed; Luke Schenn makes the team

After constant trade speculation and even slight waive speculation, Luke Schenn retained his spot on the Flyers roster after Andrew Macdonald passed through Waivers and joined the Phantoms. Just days later, Schenn has been informed that he will indeed be playing against Tampa in the season opener, replacing Radko Gudas.

According to Bill Meltzer, Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol revealed the lineup after the teams final pre-season practise. Schenn will start alongside new kid on the block and pre-season star Evgeny Medvedev, who is set to make his Flyers debut tomorrow night.

The move comes as a bit of a surprise after rumours of a potential move to Boston among other teams began to surface. Former Lightning player Radko Gudas will not play against his former team just yet as he is listed as a healthy scratch.
