With the news of Kiko Alonso being out for two to four weeks and Mychal Kendricks out for a similar amount of time with a hand injury, Chip Kelly has started to move some pieces around in preparation for the showdown with one of the leagues best Defenses this weekend.
Linebacker Najee Goode has been re-signed by the team to add some depth at ILB. He will most likely sit behind Jordan Hicks after a big game and rotate throughout the course of the next few weeks. It also relieves some stress on Vinny Curry who can focus on his DE duties.
Goode looked great in Camp but with the Eagles already having ten on the roster, there was simply too much competition and he ultimately missed out.
The team have also released Guard Julian Vandervelde having only just re-signed him about a week ago after David Molk went down in week one. Josh Andrews looks to be the backup behind Kelce at Center…not good news for the Eagles who need some serious depth on that O-Line..soon.
