Eagles sign experienced Quarterback

Following an embarrassing loss to the Dallas Cowboys, The Philadelphia Eagles shave already started to shift things around. The first move came in the form of signing Thad Lewis on Monday. He comes straight into the 53 in a straight swap for Stephen Morris, who was released earlier today. Lewis worked out with the team a few weeks back and evidently impressed in his short time with the team.

The undrafted rookie originally signed with Bradford’s old team, the St. Louis Rams back in 2010. He has had quite the journeyman career, having now made six starts in his career. Five of which came in 2013 for the Bills..Kiko’s former team (notice a pattern here?) and maintains a 2-4 record. e

In his career, Lewis has a completion rate of 60.8%  for a total of 1,296 yards. Amassing five touchdowns and four interceptions in the process..

Whilst likely to be inactive, Lewis will likely sit as QB3 behind Bradford and Sanchez. But like Kelly has eluded too previously, it doesn’t matter if he’s on or off the team..he can be activated for any given Sunday.
His long term role with the team remains unknown, but Kelly said on Sunday night that ALL aspects of the team will be evaluated..evidently, he means down to the nitty gritty.
