With just three weeks left before training camp gets underway, the Sixers have begun to make a few roster moves. The latest of which sees point guard Ish Smith heading to the Wizards.
Smith went undrafted in 2010 and has never really settled in the NBA, playing for eight teams in his short career in the league. The 27 year old finished last season with the Sixers and tied a career high 23 points in a game against his new team back in April.
In his time at the Wells Fargo, he averaged 16 points a game and 8.1 assists per game in the 25 he played in.
Whilst showing obvious potential, he was never really anything to get too excited about and seemed inferior to Canaan. What will be interesting to see is if the Sixers bring in another guard to replace Smith or if they will let the existing players battle over the starting job.
