With training camp fast approaching, the Sixers are bolstering their roster with low risk and high reward players. First it was Kendall Marshall and now, according to sports agent Matt Ramker, former UNLV hero Christian Wood. Wood has also changed his twitter cover photo to something rather appropriate..
Proud to announce Christian Wood @Chriswood_5 has agreed to terms with the Philadelphia 76ers. #Sixers #ASM #UNLV #FindlayPrep

Whilst unofficial as of now, reputable and informative blog LibertyBallers has reported that the contract is speculated to be of four years.
Wood played at UNLV for two years, shooting for 49.7% in terms of FG’s and averaging 15.7 points per game. he was widely touted as a first round pick but the 19 year old appeared to have a weak work ethic, resulting in teams sleeping on him and watching the Palmdale resident go undrafted.
The Houston Rockets picked him up and he played in the Las Vegas Summer League. Not only that but he also performed quite well. The power forward averaged 6.5 points and 4 rebounds a game in his four appearances he made during the pre-season competition.
At 6’10, Wood is physically intimidating. He is a reputable shooter and a highly physical athlete. Whilst not a stand out in a particular area, he seems to excel at most. If the only reason he failed to be picked was due to a poor work ethic, this leaves the Sixers in good stead. There’s a revolution happening in Philly and it might take just that to motivate the versatile forward. If it doesn’t, it’s no real loss. If it does, then he’s cheap, efficient and capable of putting up big numbers..like the 24 points he put up against Arizona when it was all on the line.
