Ex Philadelphia Eagle James Casey has been picked up by the Denver Broncos after being released earlier this year.
Despite some impressive performances, The Eagles decided that they didn’t want to pay Casey such a heft amount considering he was constantly kept on chains behind Zach Ertz and Brent Celek.
Casey is a great veteran upgrade for the Broncos, who after signing Owen Daniels looked to solve all of their issues at tight end. —
Casey was easily one of the best special teams players in the lineup last season, but his productivity on offence was nowhere near as impressive. Whilst not as versatile as Ertz, he’s tough to get past and a consistent ball catcher. The Broncos will look to fill the void that Jacob Tamme has left following his move to the Falcons. a
