Adam Schefter of ESPN has said that the Rams and Eagles are close to completing a deal that would send quarterback Sam Bradford to Philly in exchange for Nick Foles and “draft pick compensation.”
The move would continue a complete renovation of the offence since coach Chip Kelly took control of all personnel matters thisoffseason. Having already packed the bags for Trent Cole, Jeremy Maclin, LeSean McCoy and Todd Herremans, it was almost imminent that Kelly would trade away Nick Foles as he inevitably trades up the draft order to get Mariota.
Bradford has suffered torn ACLs in both of his last two seasons and Foles, who had a season-ending collarbone injury, would be the new starter in St. Louis when and if the trade is cemented.
Bradford would join Sanchez and Barkley in the depth chart and reunite with former Rams coach Pat Shurmur.
