The Philadelphia Eagles have wrapped up 2025 Training Camp activities ahead of their final preseason game at MetLife Stadium against the New York Jets on Friday night. The Eagles will hold meetings to prepare players for that contest, but there will be no more practices at the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia. Therefore, with camp activities closed, here is whose stock is soaring and whose has fallen ahead of the 2025 NFL Season.
Stock Up: Tanner McKee, Quarterback
QB Tanner McKee needed only one preseason game to secure the backup QB role behind Jalen Hurts. McKee was 20-of-25 for 252 yards and scored three total touchdowns in a 34-27 win over the Bengals, who played most of their starting defensive starters. The third-year NFL signal caller looked poised when he was called to start the preseason opener.
Sitting at 13-3 and a playoff spot assured, Nick Sirianni tapped McKee on the pads to start the final game of the 2024 regular season, a 20-13 win over the New York Giants in Week 18. McKee delivered a 27-of-41 passing performance for 269 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. It was encouraging to see a similar-looking performance in the 2025 preseason opener, which keeps his stock sky-high entering 2025.

Stock Down: Kenyon Green, Guard
The Eagles’ return in the C.J. Gardner-Johnson trade, Green has not looked like a former first-round talent. The guard was not selected to step in when Landon Dickerson went down with an injury. Green missed some early practices with a knee injury before a shoulder issue shut down his preseason after the first game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Unfortunately, injury issues are nothing new for the 24-year-old guard. He missed the entire 2023 NFL season after suffering a shoulder injury in the final preseason contest. Last season for the Texans, Green missed six games, also due to a shoulder ailment. With linemen Brett Toth and Matt Pryor having strong camps, it could be a struggle for Green to find playing time in the backup rotation for the Eagles in 2025.
Stock Up: Darius Cooper, Wide Receiver
Darius Cooper, an undrafted free agent, has six catches on eight targets for 82 yards and a touchdown this preseason. He received high praise from TE Dallas Goedert yesterday. “It’s going to be a tough battle and a big season,” Goedert told the media on August 20 when asked who could step up this season. “I like the way he performed late with injuries, Darius Cooper.”
The 23-year-old continues a high level of football where he recorded over 3,100 scrimmage yards and 29 touchdowns over 48 games at Tarleton State over the past four seasons. Cooper could prove to be a versatile weapon in an already dynamic Philadelphia offense as the 2025 season unfolds. Johnny Wilson’s season-ending injury adds an opening on the Birds’ wide receiving corps this season.
Stock Down: A.J. Brown, Wide Receiver
Entering his seventh NFL training camp, A.J. Brown knows better than anyone else what he needs to do to be ready to step on the field at Lincoln Financial Field for the NFL opener on Sept. 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. Currently, Brown is nursing a hamstring injury that has kept him out of practices since August 1.
“I’m not going to get too much into that stuff,” head coach Nick Sirianni recently said when asked to comment on Brown’s injury status. “He’s working through some things, and he’ll be back out there when he can.”
The Eagles still have time to treat the injury, as there are still two weeks before the Eagles’ season opener against the Cowboys. Brown has been putting in the work on the side to get back to practicing with his teammates. But will a lack of training camp and practice reps lead to a slow start for the All-Pro wideout and Philadelphia’s offense overall?

Stock Up: Jakorian Bennett, Cornerback
Eagles GM Howie Roseman swung a trade during the training camp period to add depth to a critical position on the defense. He acquired Jakorian Bennett from the Las Vegas Raiders for DT Thomas Booker IV. The 24-year-old CB brings 58 games of NFL experience to the Eagles, and that could prove vital to a young cornerback room featuring Quinyon Mitchell (24 years old), Cooper DeJean (22), Kelee Ringo (23), Eli Ricks (23), and Mac McWilliams (23).
Despite just arriving from Las Vegas, Vic Fangio said the Eagles’ newest additions are “pretty even right now” in the competition for the CB2 spot. “Jakorian [Bennett] just got here … got a full week last week. [We] Need to give him a full opportunity with the other guys…” Fangio added that it’s usually pretty clear when someone has claimed a job during training camps, but “that hasn’t happened yet.” Still, the fact that Bennett is in the mix at this point despite just arriving is a good sign for the veteran to see some playing time early in 2025.
Stock Down: Kelee Ringo, Cornerback
With three outgoing cornerbacks this offseason, Kelee Ringo seemingly had the inside track over free agent addition Adoree’ Jackson entering training camp. Due to a quad injury, he will be on the outside looking in, as it appears increasingly likely that Jackson (or Bennett) starts Week 1 vs. Dallas.
Ringo has appeared in 34 games for the Eagles over the last two seasons, so the quad injury should only be a minor setback for the third-year pro. However, he will have to fight his way back up a talented CB depth chart against some NFL veterans with significant experience through the early part of the NFL season.
