PHILADELPHIA – Nick Sirianni spoke to the media Thursday morning before the second joint practice between the Eagles and Cleveland Browns at the NovaCare Complex and while there was plenty to take away from the team’s first joint practice with Cleveland, one of the bigger storylines continues to be the health of star wideout A.J. Brown who continues to miss time with his hamstring injury.
Brown still unable to practice
Yesterday, Brown was seen not in uniform, instead walking the practice field in black Eagles athletic gear as he works his way back from a hamstring injury. The same could be said Thursday morning.
Brown, who led the team 1,079 yards on 67 catches, has been on the injury report since August 3. He was listed as “limited” on the team’s injury report on Sunday and Tuesday of this week but has been listed as “out” over the last two days once again. Sirianni was asked about Brown’s status and if he had a setback.
“Our goal is to get all these guys ready and firing all cylinders heading into the season. I’m not getting into too much of that stuff, but he’s working through some things and will get back out there when he can,” Sirianni said.
Brown, along with the starters on offense would not see time in any of the preseason games to begin with and it is better for the receiver to deal with the injury now than during the regular season. However, it is still something to monitor as the weeks continue.

Is Brett Toth the starting left guard?
Landon Dickerson reportedly had his minor surgery done to repair his meniscus on Wednesday and the team is hopeful he could return before the season opener against the Cowboys. For the time being, Toth has spent time at left guard and a lot of eyes were on how the former Army West Point product did in the joint practice.
According to Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports, Toth held his own, but speaking with the lineman afterwards, Toth was not too pleased with his performance.
Lane Johnson spoke highly of Toth’s ability and performance so far this summer.
“I like the depth that we have there. I think Brett’s doing a really good job and he has a lot of versatility,” Sirianni said on the lineman.
Saturday’s game against Cleveland should give Toth plenty of reps to allow the team to evaluate how they will proceed while they await their All-Pro guard’s return.
