The Philadelphia Eagles have completed another day of Training Camp today, with preparations for the preseason opener now on the horizon. Here’s all you need to know.
Eagles injury report
There were a few new names to the teams’ injury report today. Rookie Mac McWilliams joined Landon Dickerson and Ben VanSumeren as the rigours of Training Camp begin to take their toll.
However, one piece of positive news is that rookie Safety, Andrew Mukuba, returned to practice in a limited capacity today after missing three consecutive sessions with a shoulder setback.
The stars take the forefront
We saw a lot of Saquon Barkley action down at the NovaCare Complex to round out the week. The superstar running back received a heavy dose of touches early on and was able to find the endzone on multiple occasions. Something tells me this guy might be pretty good…
Jalen Hurts connected with Will Shipley on a wheel-route for another score. It’s nice to see Shipley making some plays in Camp. The rotation behind Saquon is certainly fluid right now, but the second-year running back flashed plenty in his rookie year and it’d be nice to see him take on a similar role in 2025.
Hurts, as is usually the case in Camp, made a few nice completions according to reporters, linking up with A.J Brown in a play against Quinyon Mitchell and orchestrating the offense as many would expect. It’s been a smooth summer for the Super Bowl MVP.

Ojomo’s ascent
Moro Ojomo has a real chance to take on a bigger role in 2025 following the departure of Milton Williams, and so far, so good. He’s been one of the real standouts of Camp up to this point and if he can sustain that momentum into the preseason opener against Cincinnati and beyond, there’s every chance the Eagles lean on him as DT3
Kelee Ringo
Ringo got some more looks with the starters today, although it was a little bumpier than others. Elijah Cooks, who has become a Training Camp darling in his own right, beat the Georgia product for a touchdown during red zone drills, while Jahan Dotson was able to draw a PI flag.
The one constant in what we’re seeing reported about Ringo is that his coverage is usually good, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. It’s just about putting the cherry on the cake.
The need for Steen
We shouldn’t need to reaffirm by now how important this year is for Tyler Steen. Stepping out of Becton’s shadow to claim the starting RG spot isn’t easy, but some noted improvements from Martin Frank should instil a sense of confidence.
Preseason will be the real barometer for Steen, and the Eagles do have some intriguing options behind if there are any lingering concerns. But it’s nice to see Steen putting in some good work before the going gets tough.
