Hollin Pierce could become the Eagles’ next hidden gem of Stoutland University

Hollin Pierce is a name I circled months ago during the Eagles’ pre-draft process. The Rutgers offensive tackle checked just about every box I associate with a classic Jeff Stoutland project. For weeks, I mocked him to the Birds in the fourth or fifth round, thinking that at worst, he’d be a developmental tackle with starter upside. At best? A diamond in the rough with Day 1 tools.

Now, he’s in the building, and when he gets reps at practice, he is showing off his massive. 6-foot-8, 342 pounds. A literal bodyguard.

Rutgers to Philly

The former walk-on started 50 games at Rutgers and showed off legitimate athleticism and balance throughout his college career. He held his own at the Shrine Bowl against NFL-caliber edge rushers. He’s not just big. He’s agile. He’s physical. He’s violent.

You want a mauler with a finisher’s mentality? A guy who opens holes and clears lanes like a bulldozer? That’s Hollin Pierce. The tape screams it, and now that he flashed it at camp, he could get a few more opportunities during the summer to show his worth.

Eagles Training Camp

The Eagles gave their backup offensive linemen some extra work recently, and when Pierce gets reps, he turns heads, moves bodies, and takes out defenders. That’s the kind of raw power and controlled chaos Stoutland thrives with. It’s not hard to see how the Eagles could mold him into the next success story.

This is exactly the type of player who could make the final 53 in Philly. Built like a skyscraper, walks in with a chip on his shoulder, and goes to work.

Conclusion

Hollin Pierce has a chance to be the next walk-on turned starter. Not in Piscataway this time, but under the lights at Lincoln Financial Field.

As always, thank you for reading!
