After missing the first week of Eagles’ training camp with a shoulder injury, All-Pro defensive tackle Jalen Carter is practicing Monday morning Nick Sirianni revealed prior to practice. Carter was seen without a helmet and just a bystander for most of last week on the practice field at the NovaCare Complex with the team being cautious with the injury with it being so early in training camp.

Jordan Davis, who said last week he wants to be more than a one-trick pony, crediting his weight loss to help put him in a position to be a lethal force alongside Carter on the Eagles’ defensive line and Moro Ojomo have looked good so far according to reports.

Carter, 24, enters his third season as a pro and looks to build off an impressive season where he had 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles 42 total tackles with 12 for a loss. He also combined for 61 QB hits and pressures all while playing a career-high 84 percent of the team’s defensive snaps. Carter was a key contributor for a very young defense under Vic Fangio’s watch last season. The former Georgia Bulldog set the tone for the Eagles’ defense during the season and even in the Super Bowl as he consistently disrupted the Chiefs’ offense.
