Training camp is a chance to compete and earn a spot on a roster. There are few teams who embrace that mantra like the Eagles have since Nick Sirianni took over. Terrace Marshall Jr. is looking to take that mindset and use the competition to force his new team’s hand when it comes time for roster cuts.

The wideout signed with the Eagles in the offseason, hoping to revitalize his career after spending his first four seasons in the league with Carolina and Las Vegas, two offenses who have lacked firepower over the year.

The former LSU standout turned heads on the first day of training camp.

Following the practice, A.J. Brown praised the wideout on what he has shown so far this offseason.

“He’s coming along quite well, honestly,”
Brown said of his new teammate in Wednesday’s press conference. “Even in the spring he was making a lot of catches. I know you guys didn’t see it, but he’s going to make the room very uncomfortable, and that’s a great thing.”

Marhsall Jr. was originally a second-round pick by Carolina in 2021. Over his four-year career he has hauled in 67 catches for 808 yards and but has scored just one touchdown. Outside of Brown and DeVonta Smith, the Eagles do not have a ton of depth in terms of outside receivers. Perhaps Marshall Jr. can make the roster and provide another option for Jalen Hurts.
