The Philadelphia Eagles are four weeks away from starting their second-ever season as Super Bowl Champions of the World. The Eagles’ Super Bowl rings, which were delayed due to a production error, will be received later this week, on July 18, just a few days ahead of the training camp reporting deadline.
Philadelphia’s defensive unit was hit hardest by free agent departures this offseason. Still, the core of the Eagles has been locked up for the foreseeable future with expectations of another deep playoff run. Here is a quick look at the state of the Eagles’ 2025 Training Camp and some notable dates on the upcoming schedule this summer.
Returning Core Looks to Defend the Lombardi Trophy
Most times, teams that claim the Lombardi Trophy look pretty different in their opportunity to defend the World Championship of American football. However, the vast majority of their LIX Super Bowl-winning squad, including Super Bowl LIX MVP Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, Zack Baun, Cooper DeJean, and more, will return to Lincoln Financial Field for the 2025 season.
The defense will have a new look this season under second-year defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Some notable names, such as Josh Sweat, Isaiah Rodgers, and Darius Slay, will be suiting up for different NFL franchises in 2025. Brandon Graham retired and will be unavailable for Nick Sirianni’s lineup this year. Reinforcements, like first-round draft pick Jihaad Campbell, will be relied upon to help the unit find its form during training camp.
Eagles GM Howie Roseman re-signed linebacker Baun to keep the shell of the Eagles’ defensive unit intact moving forward. Quinyon Mitchell and DeJean will have critical sophomore campaigns as the NFL now has a season’s worth of tape (plus playoffs!) to dissect last year’s electric rookies. There are also questions about whether a move to safety would suit DeJean’s skill set entering the season.

Annual Public Practice is on August 10 at the Linc
The Eagles will hold their annual public practice on Sunday, August 10, 2025, starting at 6:30 PM EST. Gates are scheduled to open at 4:30 p.m. While tickets for field access are sold out, fans can still purchase the $10.25 ticket, which supports the Eagles Autism Foundation. The ticket price includes the Ticketmaster fees, and parking for the event is free according to the Eagles’ website.
The 2024 edition of the public practice was held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, and raised over $600,000 for the Eagles Autism Foundation. The Foundation earned a record-breaking $10 million during the 2025 Eagles Autism Challenge in May.
August Continues with a Busy Week Against the Browns
A little less than a month from today, Sirianni’s Eagles squad will mix it up with Kevin Stefanski’s Cleveland Browns for a joint practice session on August 13. This will be the third preseason practice session between the two cities. The Eagles visited Cleveland in 2022, while the Browns made the return trip for practices ahead of the 2023 season in Philadelphia.
According to the Browns’ website, the visit to Philadelphia will be the second consecutive travel week for Cleveland, following their opening week with a joint practice against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, North Carolina, ahead of their preseason matchup in Week 1.
Notable Dates before the Season Opener on Sept. 4 vs. Dallas
With the 2025 NFL season drawing closer, here is a look at the notable upcoming dates on the Eagles’ calendar. Rookies and veterans are required to report to the NovaCare Complex in Philadelphia on July 22. Philly will practice in front of reporters for more than two weeks ahead of their first preseason game on August 7 against the Cincinatti Bengals at Lincoln Financial Field.

Three nights later, the Eagles will hold the annual public practice on August 10 before the joint practice with Cleveland on August 13. The Eagles and Browns will battle in an afternoon contest on NFL Network on August 16. Philadelphia wraps up the pre-season with a road contest at MetLife Stadium against the New York Jets on August 22. Philadelphia hosts the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 4 at the Linc to open the NFL regular season.
