The Philadelphia Phillies selected right-handed pitcher Gage Wood with the 26th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft Sunday night. Wood becomes the first college first rounder since Brian Barber joined the organization and the first college pitcher since Aaron Nola to be selected in the first round by the club.
Wood is perhaps best known for his impressive no-hitter he threw in the College World Series against Murray State where he struck out 19 batters.
