The MLB All-Star game is rapidly approaching. As Kyle Schwarber prepares to represent the Philadelphia Phillies on July 15th down in Atlanta, Georgia, now’s a great time to get familiar with what is set to unfold between now and the iconic event, both here in Philadelphia and in Atlanta.
How many Phillies will be competing?
Only two players have been named as All-Stars this year. Zack Wheeler joined Schwarber in being announced as an MLB All-Star, but has decided to miss the game in order to focus on the remainder of the Phillies’ campaign.
All-Star game schedule
If you’re heading down to Atlanta for the All-Star game, or are perhaps already there, going to see the Capital One All-Star village is a must. With guest appearances from Baseball legends and plenty of interactive experiences including batting cages and more, it’s a great way to settle into the mood ahead of the Home Run Derby and eventual All-Star game.
Home Run Derby
The Home Run Derby itself is set to take place on Monday July 14th at 8PM EST and will feature the following players
Matt Olsen

Before the Home Run Derby begins, the Gatorade All-Star workout day will give fans a chance to see the player workout in batting practice.

The Big day
The All-Star festivities kick off with the Deer Park Red Carpet Show at 2PM at the Battery Atlanta. Dressed to the nines and ready to shine, the stars of the show will look to set the tone for the night ahead in a game that promises to be just as flashy!
The game itself will start at 8PM on FOX.
How can Phillies fans enjoy the action?
With Philadelphia set to host the next Midsummer Classic, the City will be hosting a free event at 12PM on Friday at Dilworth Park, right next to City Hall.
The Roots will be performing while some local heroes including Mike Schmidt, Ryan Howard, Cole Hamels, and Larry Bowa will be in attendance.
Philadelphia’s 2026 All-Star Decleration Bus will be arriving for the first time and touring around the area, going from the Philadelphia Museum of Art at 2PM, to Citizens Bank Park at 4:15PM. Stops also include Independance Mall (2:45PM) and Betsy Ross House at 3:30PM. If you miss the photo ops, don’t panic! The Bus will remain at the Bank until the evening’s game against Los Angeles.
The official All-Star declaration will take place during a huge pregame event that will also see some exciting new commemorative merchandise.
