After months of waiting in anticipation, Eagles fans were greeted with great news on Monday morning. Star running back, Saquon Barkley, has officially been named as Madden’s cover athlete for their upcoming ‘Madden NFL 26’.
Saquon Barkley named Madden cover athlete for upcoming game
Barkley becomes the second Eagle to have ever been featured on the cover of the infamous game, joining Donovan McNabb in 2005.
The cover image features Barkley’s iconic hurdle, which is more than fitting given just how remarkable that moment was. The former Giants RB ended his first campaign in Philadelphia with 2,005 rushing yards, claiming the NFL rushing title before setting the all-time record for most yards in a single year (including postseason), dashing his way to a Lombardi trophy in the process.
Saquon tweeted how honored he is to be featured on the game that same morning, and Eagles fans don’t have to wait long to get their mits on it. Madden NFL 26 officially launches on August 14th 2025.
