On Wednesday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced the newest editions of the Hard Knocks series, including a return to examining the inner workings of the NFC East for the first time since the 2024 offseason. This means Eagles fans will finally get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their beloved team.
Eagles to be featured on Hard Knocks in 2025
The in-season version of the show will feature the entire NFC East division as the Eagles fight the Commanders, Giants, and Cowboys to become the first repeat division winner in over two decades. The preseason edition of Hard Knocks will showcase training camp activities with former Eagles defensive coordinator Sean McDermott and his Buffalo Bills as he prepares Josh Allen’s squad for AFC competition.
The last time the NFL showcased the division on Hard Knocks, it showed the inner workings of the contract negotiation process, specifically with free-agent-to-be Saquon Barkley. “So, you know, having the needs we have, and a $12 million, $27-year-old running back,” Giants GM Joe Schoen said as he realized his star running back was hitting the open market.

The Eagles quickly signed Barkley to a 3-year, $37.75 million deal that was a minuscule $1.5 million raise, up to $12.5 million per season. After relocating back home, Barkley only had a top-10 running back season in NFL history, an AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award, and will soon receive news about his shiny new Super Bowl LIX ring.
The Eagles have never been featured on Hard Knocks since it started in 2001, so this will be the first time some NFL fans will be inside the NovaCare facility. The last non-Eagles-produced show was “All or Nothing” on Amazon Prime in 2019. The Eagles routinely produce content for their own YouTube channel, with nearly 800K subscribers, including a mini movie of the epic Super Bowl 59 Championship celebration down Broad Street a few months ago.
The Commanders will also be a brand-new guest on the series. It will be the Giants’ first in-season appearance following that enlightening exposure during the 2024 offseason. The Cowboys will make their fourth appearance on Hard Knocks and their most recent since 2021. New episodes of the show will stream on HBO MAX in December and continue into the 2026 NFL Playoffs as the Birds look to bring another shiny new object back to the nest for 2026.
