The Philadelphia Eagles will be one of the hottest commodities across the NFL. That typically happens when a team wins the Super Bowl the season prior, but the way the Eagles dominated Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, ending their chance at a three-peat, carries even more weight as the Eagles will look to defend their title.
With that said, the team will be playing in plenty of primetime slots and on many days that are not Sunday as the league continues to bolster their schedule on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in addition to the traditional Sunday games. The Eagles will play just 35% of their games on Sundays and have five primetime games.
Here is the game by day breakdown:
Sunday: 11 games
Thursday: 2 games
Monday: 2 games
Friday: 1 game
Saturday: 1 game

Here’s a look at the 2025 regular season schedule:
Week 1: Banner dropping against Dallas, Thu, Sept. 4, 8:20 p.m.
This was not necessarily the best draw for the league’s season opener in terms of a compelling opponent for NFL fans across the country. The Rams, Lions and Commanders were all in the mix to travel to South Philly in the season opening week. However, for the two fan bases, especially Philadelphia’s, this is going to create a buzz at Lincoln Financial Stadium similar to a playoff game.
The Eagles will drop their Super Bowl LIX banner in front of their archrivals and Jerry Jones. A true ear-to-ear smiling moment for Eagles fans to start the season. It also marks the first time the Eagles will start the regular season at home since 2019. The tailgate scene in the lots hours before gates open will be sure to create quite an atmosphere.
As for the game, it may lack the excitement that you might find in the Jetro Lot. The Eagles dismantled the Cowboys in the two regular season meetings last year outscoring Dallas 75-13. It may not be a close game, but to potentially kickoff the season with a win against Dallas makes this a fun game to start the season.
Week 2: Super Bowl LIX rematch, Sun, Sept. 14, 4:25 p.m.
Fans will not need to wait long for the highly anticipated rematch of last year’s Super Bowl where the Eagles cruised to a 40-22 win in New Orleans. The Eagles will travel to Arrowhead Stadium in Week 2 for a September 14th matchup against the Chiefs. Surprisingly, this is not considered a primetime game with kickoff slated for 4:25 p.m.
Regardless, the storylines will be bountiful. Will the Eagles open up the game with the Dagger Part II? Does Jalen Hurts outplay Mahomes once again? Will Nick Sirianni chirp at the fans like he did in 2023 when the Eagles held on for a big 21-17 win the last time they were at Kansas City?
Week 3: NFC Divisional Round Rematch, Sun, Sept. 21, Time 1 p.m.
The front end of the Eagles schedule remains top heavy as they will come back home after their rematch with the Chiefs to welcome the Rams, the only team who had the Eagles on the ropes in the playoffs in the “Snow Bowl” game at Lincoln Financial Field. Philadelphia won thanks to the legs of Saquon Barkley and a late, fourth quarter sack by Jalen Carter to advance to the Super Bowl.
Philadelphia took on the Rams during the regular season last year where Barkley initially showcased his dominance in a 37-20 win.

Week 4: Back to the house of horrors, Sun, Sept. 28, Time 1 p.m.
Another trip down to Tampa Bay? 2025 will mark a fifth straight season the Eagles will make a trip to Raymond James Stadium which been equivalent to Davey Jones’s locker for the Eagles. Philadelphia is 1-3 in its last four trips to the home of the Buccaneers losing last year’s meeting 33-16. Tampa Bay put the nail in the coffin in the Eagles’ historic collapse in 2023 beating the Eagles in the Wild Card game 32-9.
In the last four consecutive games played at Tampa, the Eagles have been outscored 107-65 and have only scored more than 21 points in a game once in those four contests.
Week 5: Taming the Broncos, Sun, Oct. 5, Time 1 p.m.
As you will notice, the Eagles never play back-to-back home games in 2025. One of the quirks about this season’s schedule. As the second month of the season begins, they will welcome in the Denver Broncos and talented second-year quarterback Bo Nix. Nix made highlight reel plays last season for a Denver team that finished 10-7 in the regular season and is another playoff team from 2024 that is on the schedule this year.
It will mark just the 15th all-time meeting between the two teams with Denver leading the head-to-head series 9-5. The last time the Broncos galloped to the Linc it was back in 2017 in a game the Eagles put up 51 points in a 51-23 victory which was part of a nine-game win streak the Eagles rattled off that season.
Week 6: TNF at Giants, Thu, Oct. 9th, 8:15 p.m.
The Eagles will travel to take on the Giants for their second Thursday night game of the season in the first month-and-a-half of the campaign. The product for these TNF games have been primarily less than stellar over the last few seasons. This has the makings of falling into that category.
The Giants are still trying to figure out what they are doing as a team. They did get Abdul Carter with the third overall pick in this year’s draft. However, they will need to navigate a crowded quarterback room featuring Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, Jaxson Dart and Tommy DeVito while other than Malik Nabers, there is not much on the offensive side of the football. The Giants have not played the Eagles competitively when the Eagles have their starters on the field, losing seven of the last eight games to the Eagles with Philadelphia outscoring New York 233-123 during that stretch.

Week 7: On the road to Minnesota, Sun, Oct. 19th, Time 1 p.m.
A familiar foe for the Eagles over the last handful of seasons, Philadelphia has enjoyed success against the men in purple. From thrashing the Vikings in the NFC Conference game 38-7 at home in that magical 2017 season en route to the team’s first Super Bowl to beating them in the home opener back in 2023 34-28 forcing four fumbles, the Eagles have won four of the last six meetings against the squad from the NFC North.
Week 8: The Giants again, but at home Sun, Oct. 26th, Time 1 p.m.
Another oddity regarding this regular season slate is the fact that the Eagles will play both the Giants and the Commanders two times in a span of three weeks. This second matchup will but a bow on the two-game battle with the division foe.
Week 9: BYE
Although many though the Eagles drew the short straw having a Week 5 BYE last year, it proved to be a huge turning point in the season and served as a reset after a 2-2 start. This BYE comes at a solid time to allow the team to recharge before the second half of the season.
Week 10: Eagles travel to Lambeau, Mon, Nov. 10th, 8:15 p.m.
The lone Monday Night Football game the Eagles have on the schedule, the two teams will meet up for a third consecutive season. Of course, the two squads kicked off their respective seasons last year in Brazil where the Eagles won a high-scoring affair 34-29 and then again in the first round of the playoffs last year where the Eagles won 22-10. Perhaps the biggest storyline in this game will be how often the Eagles utilize the tush push with it well documented that the Packers were one of the teams very vocal this offseason about their desire for the play to be banned.

Week 11: A potential offensive slugfest Sun, Nov. 15th, 8:20 p.m.
Back-to-back marquee primetime games open the BYE for the Eagles. The Monday Night football game at Green Bay is followed by another clash against an NFC North foe in Detroit. This will be a tough game for Philadelphia coming on short rest, but it could be back-and-forth slugfest where the offenses steal the show.
Many thought the two teams were on a collision course in the playoffs last season, but the Lions were upset by Washington, ending their postseason run prematurely. Another interesting tidbit, this is the second of four primetime games in a five-game stretch after the BYE.
Week 12: To Jerry’s World, Nov. 23rd, Time 4:25 p.m.
The Eagles wrap up another divisional season matchup with a trip to AT&T Stadium to take on the Cowboys. Maybe Dallas will still be in contention at this point in the season which could make for an interesting matchup. The teams historically split the regular season meetings more times than not, but the Eagles could buck that trend for a second straight season with a win.
Week 13: Black Friday Game vs. Bears, Fri, Nov. 28th, 3 p.m.
After the turkey and pie are in the rearview, the Eagles welcome an intriguing Chicago team to South Philly for the NFL’s third annual Black Friday game. The Bears will be playing under first year head coach Ben Johnson with hopes that the new head man can unlock even more from first round pick Caleb Williams who flashed promising attributes at quarterback a season ago when the Bears went 5-12.
It will be the first time the Eagles play Chicago at home since 2019 when Philadelphia won 22-14. The most notable game between the two teams in recent memory is of course the “Double Doink” game which was the 2018 NFC Wildcard game where the Eagles survived 16-15 in Chicago on what originally seemed to be a missed kick by Cody Parkey. The play was later looked at and officially ruled a block as defensive tackle Treyvon Hester was credited for tipping the kick to alter the trajectory of the would-be game winning kick.

Week 14: Back on Primetime in L.A., Mon, Dec. 8th, 8:15 p.m.
This wraps up the stretch of four primetime games in five weeks for the Eagles as they head out west to take on the Chargers. Another opponent that the Eagles do not play often, this will be just the 14th overall meeting between the two teams. The last time they met was back in 2021 when the Chargers won 24-21 in Philadelphia. The cross-country flight this year will mark the first time the Eagles play at the home of the Chargers since 2017 in a game the Eagles won 26-24.
Week 15: Chip Kelly returns, Sun, Dec. 14th, Time 1:00 p.m.
We all remember how the Chip Kelly era went. The former head coach will make a return to Philadelphia and the NFL after taking the offensive coordinator job with the Las Vegas Raiders this offseason. It marks the first time Kelly is coaching in the NFL since 2016 when he was the head coach for San Francisco.
Kelly spent 2013-2015 as the head coach for the Eagles going 28-35.
Week 16: at Commanders, Saturday, Dec. 20th, Time 4:30 or 8:30 p.m.
The days of the late season matchups between these two teams where usually the Eagles were the only team maintaining a spot in the playoff picture while Washington limps to the finish line are over. Jayden Daniels showed what he is capable of putting in an impressive rookie season leading the Commanders to the NFC Championship game. Philadelphia handled the rookie and divisional rivals with ease. However, expect another strong season from a Washington team that now has that playoff experience and belief that they could be a viable contender for the divisional crown in 2025. This could be a crucial game.
Week 17: Late heavy hitter vs. Bills, Sun, Dec. 28th, Time 4:25 p.m
These two teams had a classic battle on a rain-soaked chilly November Sunday in 2023 at Lincoln Financial Field where Jalen Hurts scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime for a 37-34 victory. That game featured everything, including fans booing the Eagles for their first half performance where they trailed 17-7 heading into the half. The Eagles will head north to play in what is one of the best atmospheres in all of the NFL as the Bills play in Highmark Stadium for the final season.

Week 18: For the division at home? Sunday, Jan. 4th Time TBD
It seems the NFL is banking on the Eagles and Commanders fighting until the end for the NFC East Division. That very well could be the case. If so, this sets up to be a heck of a close out to the regular season with playoff and divisional implications riding on the line. Or it could be completely pointless and one if not both teams will be playing their backups as they gear up for the playoffs.
