When the Eagles dealt with Kansas City Chiefs with such unbridled brutality, we all thought the Vince Lombardi Trophy was enough reward for their brilliance. What many never anticipated was how the win would inspire many other off-field awards, achievements and innovations among the Eagles. One of such post-Super Bowl off-field outputs is the “Exciting Mics,” a new podcast by Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship, which has been announced to debut on May 15.
Before their Super Bowl win, Cooper DeJean had hinted that he and his fellow Eagle were thinking of starting a podcast where they hang out and drink white wine. And now, with the announcement, the pair join former Eagles, like Darius Slay, Jason Kelce and C.J. Gardner-Johnson in the streaming world.
While Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown and some other Eagles have been hitting several touchdowns off the pitch since their Super Bowl triumph, Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean and safety Reed Blankenship are replicating that with their “Exciting Mics” podcast and have scheduled their debut episode for May 15, as shared by EaglesWire’s Gelnn Erby.
On Wednesday night, DeJean and Blankenship teased the first episode of a new podcast, ‘Exciting Mics’ a play on words of their ‘Exciting Whites’ nickname.
The podcast is one that will explore their journey, the team’s Super Bowl success and the complexities of defensive strategy. While it does all of these, it’s also a reflection of the strong relationship between the pair beyond football.
With the podcast, fans can gain more insights into the experiences that fueled their Super Bowl triumph and gain an insider’s perspective on the emotions, moments and challenges that defined their Super Bowl-winning season.
