No losses so far in 2025

Union II has started the season completely undefeated in their six games so far this season, winning twice and drawing 4 times. Last time out, they drew 0-0 with Chattanooga FC before a marathon extra point shootout took place, with Union II coming away as the eventual winners with a scoreline of 9-8. Union II are returning home for the first time in over a month, as their last game at Subaru Park was back on April 10th, when they smashed five past Atlanta United 2 in a 5-1 win.

Ryan Richter may have some selection dilemmas heading into this game after the senior team returned to US Open Cup action and Cavan Sullivan and David Vazquez were handed significant minutes. With the Union senior team also playing in the MLS on Saturday night, there’s a chance Ryan Richter will have to make some changes to his starting XI with Cavan Sullivan and Nick Pariano both featuring on the bench for the senior team.

Union II vs Crew 2

Union II hosts Columbus Crew 2 in this Sunday afternoon battle. Columbus heads into the game as the worst Eastern Conference side, sitting at the bottom of the standings and having just won once all season in their first six games. Their last game out was back in late April, and it was their first win of the season, a home 3-0 win against Chattanooga FC.

Last season, these two teams faced off 4 times, and the overall record was edged by Philly, with two wins, Columbus winning once, and a tie making up four games (Union II won the extra-point shootout). Columbus will seek revenge against Union II, and Philly beat them in the postseason semifinals 4-0.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. ET, and tickets are available on the Philadelphia Union website. If you can’t make it down to Subaru Park for the game, it’s available to stream on Apple TV via an active MLS Season Pass subscription.
