MLS Matchday 12 is already here, and some noteworthy matches are on the schedule.
The Columbus Crew climbed to the top of the Eastern Conference during MLS Matchday 11. In the Western Conference, the Vancouver Whitecaps are still at the top and do not plan to fall.
Daniel Gazdag will return to Subaru Park on Saturday to face his former MLS club, the Philadelphia Union. It will be the first time Gazdag will face the Union since he was dealt to the Columbus Crew.
The Union themselves are off to its best start in club history. Bradley Carnell’s style of play has excelled early on in his first season in Philly, and they will look to continue their winning streak against the East’s top team. The Union advanced to the US Open Cup Round of 16 Wednesday night after taking down Indy Eleven in penalties.
