Just a day before he entered the 31st year of his ownership of the Philadelphia Eagles, Jeffrey Lurie made his first appearance on 94WIP. Of course, there is no coincidence that this maiden appearance is happening just months after the Eagles won their second Super Bowl in the Jeffrey Lurie era, and it was mainly to celebrate Brandon Graham’s career and legacy.
The announcement of Jeffrey Lurie’s appearance was made on their social media handles on X and Instagram.
Jeffrey Lurie joins 94 WIP to discuss Eagles success

Once Jeffrey Lurie called in, he was showered heaps of praise by the host on how successful his leadership with the Eagles had been. In response, he ensured the spotlight shone beyond him to the rest of the Eagles team.
“Thank you for the nice words, but it’s just who you surround yourself with. I’ve been so fortunate between players, coaches and everyone working in the organization… it’s just assembling a great group of people who are dedicated, focused and talented. It’s been a joy and we’re just in the middle of it.” Said the Eagles’ owner.
Getting back to Brandon Graham, Jeffrey Lurie was asked how much Brandon Graham means to him, a question he did answer with so much ecstasy.
“It’s so much. Brandon Graham more than anyone I can remember is the giver of energy, the head of joy, a person who you constantly want to be next to, working with, talking to… He makes life around him better for anyone who is working with him or gets to know him. That’s rare in life. “
Emphasizing on Brandon Graham’s leadership qualities, Lurie spoke about his selflessness to the team and how the love he has been shown so far is only a natural consequence of how much of himself he has given.
“It’s his comfort with himself. I think because he’s able to totally be natural no matter what you’re doing with him. He’s always been a person that epitomizes what we always talk about: a giver and selfless. He made the greatest defensive play in the history of the franchise.”
Before he got off the call, Lurie showed the other NFL owners the secret to the Eagles’ success. When asked for the winning formula of the Eagles, Lurie highlighted their togetherness as a key factor, a point he had made when he received the Vince Lombardi Trophy on Feb. 9th.
“It’s a grind, so our approach and philosophy has been for a long time. If you’re going to grind together, why not grind with people that are givers. It’s a group of helpless, humble, very talented people.”
Indeed, it’s a season of firsts for Jeffrey Lurie, who recently led the Eagles to the White House for the first time in history. The visit is a traditional visit where the Super Bowl winners visit the White House with the Vince Lombardi Trophy, and Jeffrey Lurie was really delighted at this one.
