The first round of the 2025 NFL Draft is officially in the books as the Philadelphia Eagles did what they do best. General manager Howie Roseman traded up one spot to land Alabama defensive weapon Jihaad Campbell. After Zack Baun excelled in Philadelphia last season, the Eagles essentially added his clone with their first-round pick.
Now, Roseman and the Eagles will shift their focus to the second night of the 2025 NFL Draft, as several notable players are still available. The Eagles are scheduled to have the 64th overall pick in the second round and the 96th overall pick in the third round. Yet given Roseman’s love for maneuvering around the draft board, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Eagles make a trade or two.
Everyone loves mock drafts and now it’s my turn to take a shot at predicting what the Eagles will do on the second night of the 2025 NFL Draft. Can Roseman continue his impressive hot streak of finding Pro Bowl players in the second round? We’ll see!
Eagles Day 2 Mock Draft
TRADE ALERT!
Eagles send: 2025 second-round pick (64) and a 2025 fifth-round pick (168)
Lions send: 2025 second-round pick (60)
After using one of Philadelphia’s four picks in the fifth round to trade up in the first, Roseman does it again. The Eagles have watched one of the players that they hosted on a top-30 visit fall into the second half of round two and don’t hesitate to move up. Similar to how they got aggressive in trading up for Cooper DeJean in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Round 2, Pick 60: T.J. Sanders, IDL, South Carolina
The Eagles let defensive lineman Milton Williams walk in free agency after he signed a massive deal with the New England Patriots. While Philadelphia certainly believes in Moro Ojomo, they haven’t added any interior defensive linemen in free agency. South Carolina defensive lineman T.J. Sanders would be a perfect addition to Philadelphia’s defensive front.
Sanders has great size at 6’4”, 297 lbs. with 33 1/8” arms and 10 1/4” hands. He’s strong at the point of attack with heavy, violent hands. Sanders also checks off two important boxes for the Eagles, as he had a top 30 visit with the team and has a Relative Athletic Score above 8.00 (9.38). Sanders would fit in seamlessly with the Eagles and fill a void in the trenches.
TRADE ALERT!
Eagles send: 2025 third-round pick (96)
49ers send: 2025 third-round pick (100) and a 2025 sixth-round pick (187)
While Roseman traded away two of Philadelphia’s fifth-round picks to trade up in the first and second round, he trades back in the third round to recoup some draft capital. The Eagles didn’t own a sixth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft before this move back and Philadelphia would still have four picks on day three in this scenario.
Round 3, Pick 100: Wyatt Milum, OL, West Virginia
After adding to the defensive front with their first two picks, the Eagles add a mauler along the offensive line in the third round. West Virginia offensive lineman Wyatt Milum played offensive tackle in college, yet many expect him to move inside to guard at the next level. Milum certainly has the size and attitude to make the transition.
At 6’6 1/2”, 313 lbs. with 10 1/4” hands, Milum is built like an offensive tackle, yet his 32 1/8” arms are while he’ll be asked to play inside at guard. Jeff Stoutland helped Mekhi Becton transition from offensive tackle to guard and Milum could immediately compete for the starting job at right guard in 2025. Similar to Sanders, Milum also checks both boxes with a top 30 visit to Philadelphia and a RAS above 8.00 (8.08).
