The 2025 NFL Draft is exactly one week away as top 30 visits have come to an end and teams around the league are finalizing their draft boards. Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has already patched up a few holes on the team’s roster in free agency, yet a few more remain. As expected, Roseman will certainly be working the phones to try and maneuver his way up and down the draft board.

In my latest mock draft, the Eagles stick to their long-time tradition of building in the trenches early. Roseman also pulls of a surprising trade on day two, as he continues to take chances on former high draft picks. Here’s my latest Eagles mock draft with one week remaining until the start of the 2025 NFL Draft!

Round 1, Pick 32: Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State

While Lane Johnson continues to say that he is going to play for a few more years, Philadelphia currently has a vacancy at right guard. Tyler Steen has failed to secure the starting role in each of his first two seasons and the Eagles could be losing confidence in him. Donovan Jackson would likely start at right guard from day one in Philadelphia.

Jackson started 31 games at left guard for the Buckeyes. He also showcased his versatility by starting nine games at left tackle in 2024. Jackson is a former five-star recruit, which is something that Roseman has valued in recent years. The 22-year-old also had a top 30 visit to Philadelphia, which serves as a strong indicator of the team’s interest.

Round 2, Pick 64: T.J. Sanders, IDL, South Carolina

Following the departure of Milton Williams, many expect Moro Ojomo to step up in 2025. While Ojomo has shown a ton of promise, Philadelphia will likely add another player along the defensive line in this year’s draft. T.J. Sanders is regarded as one of the top interior defensive linemen in this year’s draft class and would help fill a major void along Philadelphia’s defensive front.

At 6’4”, 297 lbs. with 10 1/4” hands, Sanders has the size that the Eagles look for in the trenches. He combines that size with impressive athleticism, which is evident given his Relative Athletic Score of 9.38. The Eagles have done their homework on Sanders, as they had a formal meeting with him at the NFL Combine and also hosted him for a top 30 visit.

EAGLES TRADE!

Eagles send: Dallas Goedert, a 2025 third-round pick (96), and a 2026 fifth-round pick
Giants send: EDGE Kayvon Thibodeux and a 2025 fourth-round pick (105)

The worst kept secret in the NFL is that Dallas Goedert is available for trade. Jordan Raanan of ESPN recently mentioned that the Giants have checked in on Goedert’s availability. With many expecting the Giants to select Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter in the first round, there are thoughts that Kayvon Thibodeux could become available for trade.

Surely enough, the Eagles could use another edge rusher and did their homework on Thibodeux ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft. Philadelphia hosted Thibodeux on a top 30 visit and Roseman has acquired several players in recent years that the team hosted on top 30 visits but wasn’t able to draft. Examples of those players include A.J. Brown, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Kenyon Green and Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

In this scenario, Philadelphia sends Goedert to a division rival and takes a chance on a 24-year-old pass rusher that recorded 11.5 sacks in 2023. The move back from 96 to 105 equates to the value of a 2025 fifth-round pick. While the Eagles also add a 2026 fifth-round pick to sweeten the deal for a former first-round pick at a premium position with their fifth-year option still remaining.

Round 4, Pick 105: Harold Fannin Jr., TE, Bowling Green

After trading away Goedert at the end of day two, the Eagles find his replacement at the start of day three. Harold Fannin Jr. is an undersized, yet incredibly versatile tight end. He was the focal point of Bowling Green’s offense and defenses still couldn’t slow him down as he hauled in 117 receptions for 1,555 yards and 10 touchdowns.

While many are worried about where Fannin will play in the NFL, Philadelphia now has his former head coach on their coaching staff. Eagles quarterback coach Scot Loeffler worked with Fannin for several years at Bowling Green and will know him better than anyone else in the NFL. Fannin would bring a new element to Philadelphia’s offense with his ability to succeed from various alignments.

TRADE!

Eagles send: two 2025 fifth-round picks (165 and 168)
Steelers send: 2025 fourth-round pick (123)

Roseman is always looking to make deals during the NFL Draft and this mock draft is no different. After trading away C.J. Gardner-Johnson earlier in the offseason, Roseman moves up to land his potential replacement on day three.

Round 4, Pick 123: Jaylen Reed, S, Penn State

Following the departure of Gardner-Johnson, Philadelphia will need to add competition to their safety room. While Sydney Brown is expected to push for the starting job, he hasn’t proven enough to be handed that role. Jaylen Reed is a versatile safety that would immediately fight to start alongside Reed Blankenship in 2025. Reed had a top 30 visit to Philadelphia during the pre-draft process.

Round 4, Pick 134: Nohl Williams, CB, California

Despite signing Adoree’ Jackson in free agency, the Eagles need to add more depth at cornerback. Nohl Williams is an experienced, competitive cornerback with elite ball skills. Williams hauled in 14 interceptions during his college career, including seven interceptions in his final season with the Golden Bears.

Williams has the size, experience and passion to immediately compete for a role in Philadelphia’s secondary. He also showed promise as a kick returner, averaging 27.6 yards per kick return in 2024, including an 80-yard touchdown. Williams had a formal meeting with the Eagles at the NFL Combine and would make a ton of sense as a day three target with upside.

TRADE!

Eagles send: a 2025 fifth-round pick (161)
Cardinals send: for a 2026 fourth-round pick

While the rest of the NFL continues to devalue future draft picks, Roseman does the opposite. In each of the last two drafts, Roseman has flipped a current year’s pick for a pick one round earlier the following year. That’s exactly what I have the Eagles doing here with one of their fifth-round picks.

Round 5, Pick 164: Kobe King, LB, Penn State

Despite re-signing Zack Baun, there is still some uncertainty at linebacker in Philadelphia. Nakobe Dean is recovering from a major knee injury and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. is still unproven. Kobe King was a highly productive, two-year starter for the Nittany Lions. King would provide much-needed competition in Philadelphia’s locker room. He also had a top 30 visit with the Eagles during the pre-draft process.
