Upon the Eagles’ Super Bowl triumph, NFL supporters with sufficient memory raised questions regarding their visit to the White House, seeing what happened in 2018 when they snubbed the President’s invite. Despite the invitation from the President of the United States and the assurance from the team to honor the invite, many were still in doubt about the players’ attendance. Well, Eagles’ running back Saquon Barkley, through his meeting with President Trumps’s family members, took matters into his hands and cleared the air regarding the players’ feelings about the visit.
Saquon Barkley, alongside Tom Brady, attended the J.P. Morgan Tech 100 Summit, where the pair of Super Bowl winners spoke to investors. Of course, such a prestigious event wouldn’t slide without him feeding the eyes of his social media followers with highlights.

“Had an amazing time at the J.P. Morgan Tech Summit ! Want to give a shoutout to Madhu for having me out,” he posted.
“Want to also give a shoutout to everyone who made it amazing,” tagging the likes of Tom Brady, Ivanka Trump, her husband, Jared Kushner, and brother-in-law, Josh Kushner.
Of all the pictures he posted, the most viral was the one he took with Ivanka Trump and her son– a Giants fan who got a signed football gift from Barkley. Trump quickly replied Barkley’’s post, appreciating the Eagles’ star for gifting her son despite the hurt they feel after he left the Giants for a move to Philadelphia Eagles.
“Thank you Saquon for the great kindness you showed my son Theo—so much so that we’re willing to accept you’ve left the Giants. Still hurts, though.”
A post by NFL aggregator, Dov Kleiman, had given Barkley’s picture with Ivanka Trump a political undertone, claiming “Saquon has always been a big supporter of the Trumps”. However, the post was soon deleted after Barkley requested that his political beliefs be kept private.

Barkley’s association with Ivanka Trump might not have read as much as Kleiman made it, the clear message remains the peace between the Trumps and one of the Eagles’ star players. The Eagles are set to visit President Donald Trump with the Vince Lombardi Trophy on April 28.
The Allentown man, after being rewarded with a two-year $41 million bumper contract with $36 million guaranteed – the most of any running back in NFL history – will be looking to hit the ground running in the coming season.
Barkley, who joined the Eagles last year in free agency, had one of the greatest NFL rushing seasons ever from a running back with 2,504 yards on the ground across the regular season and playoffs. He also led all running backs in yard carries (345) and yards per game (125.3), while earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors. The former first-round pick could end up having a historical run during his tenure with the Eagles.
