PHILADELPHIA— Summer nights at Citizens Bank Park are just around the corner.

The Philadelphia Phillies season has begun, and just ahead of their home opener on Monday against the Colorado Rockies, the organization held a kickoff event on Friday evening. New food, merchandise (including giveaways), upgraded audio/visual gear, and more enhancements to the gameday experience were announced with the 2025 season in mind.

Continued investments in Citizens Bank Park will be on display for fans starting on Opening Day but also as the team hosts the 2026 All-Star weekend next year. Expect more to come from the stadium district in South Philly.

Phillies New Additions

Merchandise

This season, there will be a total of 40 games with giveaways from the club. Some are free to all fans, others are for specific age groups, and additional theme night specific items require the theme night ticket to grab the item.

Some of those giveaways include player-themed items. Nick Castellanos wristbands, Aaron Nola Replica Jersey, Zack Wheeler bobblehead, Kyle Schwarber Card Show bobblehead, and a Bryce Harper Funko Pop! are examples of the free merchandise.

Food and Drinks

Gone are the days when a hotdog or chicken tenders are your ballpark go-to. The times are changing, and the options keep getting better.

The Phillies announced several new food items at Citizens Bank Park this season. Options such as Crispy Chicken Sandwich at Pass and Stow, Uncle Charlie’s Express (behind Section 319), which includes ballpark cheesesteaks, french fries, and other ballpark favorites. Named, of course, after World Series champion manager Charlie Manuel.

A new Kyle Schwarber themed item has released in 2025. Kyle’s Cutlet is a chicken cutlet sandwich topped with creamy burrata, crispy fried pepperoni and arugula, drizzled with a sweet and spicy hot honey sauce on a Liscio’s roll. A portion of the proceeds from every sandwich sold will be donated to Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes, founded by designated hitter Kyle Schwarber.

Garage Beer, the beer company founded by the Kelce brothers, has joined the fun at Citizens Bank Park. Alc-A-Chino Spiked Coffee, hard coffee cocktails made with oat milk, natural ingredients & flavors, are available at all drink locations. Wrexham Lager, a high-quality lager beer owned by Philly native and star of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” Rob McElhenney, will now be offered at locations across the ballpark.

Audio/Visual Delight

Technology keeps improving, and the Phillies are loaded with the latest and greatest.

The team has installed new LED ring displays and special lighting effects all around the ballpark. Two new Daktronics RTX outdoor full-color displays are now above and below the suite level. They span over 3,100 square feet in length on the upper and lower levels. These displays will feature stats, interactive game prompts, out-of-town scores, and sponsor graphics, working in concert with special ballpark lighting effects during key moments in Phillies games.

Every Phillies home run will trigger a custom light show that will illuminate the ballpark – foul pole to foul pole. At the center of it all is a new, supersized Xfinity logo in right-center field that pulses with color during each celebration. Located next to the Phillies’ iconic Home Run Bell, this new feature adds an unforgettable spark to every big moment.

28 new subwoofers have been added to both the Terrace and Pavilion Decks, enhancing both music and voice messaging and improving the audio experience for all fans. Dan Baker is very excited about this addition.

Opening Week Activities

On Opening Day, the Phillies will be giving away 2024 NL East championship pennants to all fans. Similar to the 2023 opener, when they handed out NL Champion pennants. The club will do their typical on-field ceremony where the players enter through center field and make their way to the field.

As tradition, Kane Kalas, the son of legendary broadcaster Harry Kalas, will sing the National Anthem next to his father’s statue in the left field pavilion.

On Wednesday, Phillies Opening Night will see a t-shirt given out to all fans as well. On Saturday, April 5th, Cavity Busters Kids Opening Day will hand out a Knit Hat for children 14 and under. On Sunday, April 6, all fans will receive a 2025 Schedule Magnet to round out the week’s festivities.
