According to multiple reports on Monday, veteran offensive tackle Kendall Lamm has signed a one-year deal with the Eagles and will now be part of their Super Bowl-winning offense in the coming season.
Eagles sign OT Kendall Lamm
Lamm visited the Eagles on Monday before both parties agreed and signed the deal. He will be looking to revive his career after suffering a setback last season with a back injury that put him on the injured reserve on January 1.
The signing of Lamm seems like an instant replacement for Fred Johnson, who has gone on to sign a one-year contract with Jacksonville Jaguars. Over the past two seasons, Johnson had played a key role as a reliable depth piece who stepped up in pinch situations.

The departure of Fred Johnson in free agency seems to have opened up a healthy competition in the backup offensive tackle spot among Darain Kinnard, Laekin Vakalahi, and now, Kendall Lamm, following his addition to the team.
The 10-year veteran began his NFL career in 2015, after the Houston Texans picked him as an undrafted free agent. He completed his contract with the Texans before agreeing a two-year contract worth over $7 million with Cleveland Browns in 2019. In 2021, he joined the Titans and moved to Detroit Lions the following year.
However, he stayed for a very brief stint before he was released by the Lions, then eventually joining the Dolphins. The 32-year-old spent the last two seasons in Miami, where he started seven games and appeared in 15 last season.
He received a 72.7 overall grade last season from Pro Football Focus and was graded better as a pass blocker with an 83.1 grade, which ranked 10th out of 141 tackles. He received a 53.7 run-blocking grade by PFF, which ranked 109th out of 141 tackles. Overall, Lamm has played in 119 games and made 44 starts.
While his NFL journey has been quite adventurous, he will be hoping to get his best days in Philadelphia.
