The first wave of NFL free agency has passed as teams around the league are shifting their attention towards the 2025 NFL Draft. After winning Super Bowl LIX, the Philadelphia Eagles have watched several former players depart in free agency this offseason.
Now Eagles general manager Howie Roseman will have tough decision to make as Philadelphia looks to keep their championship window open. Here’s a look at how Roseman could potentially navigate the draft board in late April, including a noteworthy trade before the event begins.

Projected Trade: Eagles trade TE Dallas Goedert to the Colts for a 2025 fourth-round pick (117th overall pick)
Round 1, Pick 32: Josh Conerly Jr., OL, Oregon
Roseman hasn’t been afraid to draft players at positions of strength early in the NFL Draft before. Josh Conerly Jr. is a young, athletic offensive lineman that would immediately fill a role as the team’s swing tackle. Conerly is oozing with potential and it’s clear that Philadelphia is interested given that they’re reportedly hosting him on a top 30 visit.
Round 2, Pick 64: Shemar Turner, IDL, Texas A&M
Following the departure of Milton Williams, many expect Moro Ojomo to help fill that void. Yet the Eagles could look to spend an early pick on more help along the defensive line. Shemar Turner played multiple roles for the Aggies and would fit in perfectly next to Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis due to his aggression and quickness.
Round 3, Pick 96: Andrew Mukuba, S, Texas
After trading away C.J. Gardner-Johnson, Roseman has work to do at safety. While Andrew Mukuba is undersized, his elite play-making and versatility has helped him draw comparisons to Gardner-Johnson. Mukuba shined in coverage during his lone season at Texas, where he allowed an absurd 12.1 passer rating when targeted, according to Pro Football Focus.
Projected Trade: Eagles trade EDGE Bryce Huff and two 2025 fifth-round picks (165th overall pick and 168th overall pick) to the 49ers for a 2025 fourth-round pick (113th overall)
Round 4, Pick 113: Gunnar Helm, TE, Texas

After moving on from Goedert prior to the 2025 NFL Draft, Philadelphia packages Huff with two draft picks to land their next starting tight end. While an ankle injury slowed Gunnar Helm down at the NFL Combine, his tape speaks for itself. Helm ran a diverse route tree at Texas and also handled a ton of responsibility as a blocker.
Round 4, Pick 117: Cobee Bryant, CB, Kansas
Roseman is embracing a new era in the Eagles’ cornerback room following the release of Darius Slay and James Bradberry. Now the Eagles will likely look to add competition at the position in the 2025 NFL Draft. It’s hard to find a more competitive cornerback in this year’s class than Cobee Bryant. While Bryant weighed in at just 180 lbs., he makes up for it with his instincts and dog mentality.
Round 4, Pick 134: Antwaun Powell-Ryland, EDGE, Virginia Tech
Despite signing Azeez Ojulari and Joshua Uche in free agency, Philadelphia could look to add long-term depth on the edge. Antwaun Powell-Ryland was an uber productive pass rusher with 16 sacks and 19 tackles for loss in 2024. He has an impressive pass rusher repertoire and motor that would fit in well alongside Philadelphia’s rising unit on the edge.
Round 5, Pick 161: Nick Nash, WR, San Jose State

Philadelphia took a chance on two wide receivers on day three last year and could add another one in 2025. Nick Nash is a competitive, big-bodied wide receiver that dominated last season with 104 receptions for 1,382 yards and 16 touchdowns. His experience as a former quarterback would only help his case as a depth addition with gadget play potential.
Round 5, Pick 164: Teddye Buchanan, LB, California
Philadelphia was able to re-sign Zack Baun, yet they lost Oren Burks in free agency and Nakobe Dean is still recovering from a major knee injury. Teddy Buchanan is an intriguing linebacker that has improved his stock during the pre-draft process. Buchanan had a formal meeting with the Eagles at the NFL Combine and would help fill the void created by Burks’ departure.
