The Flyers Charities Carnival is approaching this weekend, and there are a few tips and tricks that all fans should know before heading to the Carnival. This is the 46th annual Carnival, and it’s expected to be the biggest yet. There are a lot of events and opportunities to meet your favorite players, media personnel, and even some cute rescue dogs.

Parking at the Flyers Charities Carnival:

Parking is free at the Wells Fargo Center for the Carnival. All you need to do is buy your ticket for the event on the Flyers Charities website. Parking as close to the nearest entrance as possible, as people funnel in and out throughout the event, so there isn’t much traffic trying to exit the lots.

Sign & Snap:

This is one of the most popular events at the Carnival. The Sign & Snaps have now sold out. However, if you have one to meet players such as Travis Konecny, Matvei Michkov, Scott Laughton, and more, you should look at the players’ schedules listed on the Flyers Charities website. I recommend showing up at Sign & Snap 10 minutes before the event. Make sure you have your phone/camera ready for a picture and your items (2) prepared to be signed.

Meeting Players Without Sign & Snap

Even without a sign and snap, meeting some of your favorite players is still possible. The players’ schedules are on the Charities website. It’s possible to say hi as they walk to their respective events. You can even play games with some of them as well! Last year there was a VERY intense game of cornhole between Sam Ersson and some fans.

Tortorella:

ohn Tortorella is a HUGE animal lover. He has a Hockey & Hounds meet and greet with PSPCA and PAWS. Not only can you meet the head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers, but you can also meet some cute dogs that could be your dog! It’s a win-win!

Carnival Games:

It’s not a carnival without games! You can play all the fun games at any good ole carnival. Besides the games, you can ride the carousel and Ferris wheel for free!

Dunk Tank:

This is an event many people love to participate in. For me, this will be my second year in the Tank. Last year, I was leadoff, but this year, it’s more of a prime-time role from 12:00-12:30. On the Carnival floor, you can dunk me and some other media members and personalities. Pro tip: There’s a good chance I allow those under 10 to dunk me even if they miss throwing the ball.

What to Wear:

I’ve made the mistake of not wearing the appropriate shoes for this event. I recommend wearing sneakers, a comfortable outfit, and your favorite Flyers gear!

There are so many activities that make the Carnival a one-of-a-kind event. Make sure you’re ready to have one of the best days that will help the community around you! Not only is this event a tremendous in-person event, but if you can’t attend, there are online auctions to get fabulous prizes, such as signed sticks, player baskets, and so much more! Flyers Charities has events throughout the year, but this is my favorite.
