There were so many fascinating storylines during the 2024 regular season, and there have been just as many in the Eagle’s three post-season games!
The Eagles paid big money for the running back position and became the number-one rushing team in the NFL! They are also the best in the playoffs. Saquon Barkley has rushed for 442 yards on 67 carries with five touchdowns and is the catalyst to the Eagle offense and their march towards winning Super Bowl LIX.
In this special playoff edition of Inside the Numbers, Saquon, Jalen, Quinyon, and much more!
Eagles By Numbers
0- turnovers in the playoffs and 10 takeaways! Many people complained about Hurts not taking more risks with the ball. This is the recipe for success; they could ride this formula to their 2nd Lombardi.
00- The number of interceptions Jalen Hurts has thrown in 5 home postseason games!
1– postseason interception thrown by Eagles QBs at LFF since 2004, a span covering 14 games.
2– is the total Super Bowl appearances Jalen Hurts has led the Eagles to. Jalen is 26 years old and is the only QB in franchise history to be in two Super Bowls. This is rare air, and he has the potential and time to be one of the greatest.
3- Super Bowl appearances in eight years. This is the most successful era of Philadelphia football during the Super Bowl era. They make the playoffs so frequently that Dallas Goedert has only missed the postseason once in his entire career (the 2020 pandemic year).
4– NFC Championship Game wins at LFF over the last 20 years.
5- rushing touchdowns for Saquon this postseason. He ran for a hat trick versus the Commanders to account for three.
5 again- passes defended by BP Slay this post-season, tied for most in the NFL
6.7 yards per carry average during the playoffs for Saquon Barkley. That is higher than his regular season of 5.8.
7- rushing touchdowns for the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. Only one team has ever rushed for more in the postseason in a single game. That was the Chicago Bears in 1940, also against Washington, in a 73–0 dismantling.
8– sacks for Nolan Smith in the last 10 games, and 4 in the 2025 playoffs and counting! He has 4.5 total postseason sacks, which is second all-time for the Eagles. He only trails Brandon Graham, who has 5.5 career postseason sacks.
9– career post-season rushing touchdowns for Jalen Hurts, tied for 9th most in NFL history.
10- The number of QB hits Brandon Graham has had during his post-season career. The Eagles have opened the practice window for BG, and there is a great chance he could play in the Super Bowl. Many fans talk about how big of a morale boost it would be if he could play, it will also show in production. The Eagles would not be activating him to be a cheerleader.
He has made the biggest sack in the Eagle’s history, and if he can bring that effort and juice to the field one more time, the reward of playing and being a factor in a Super Bowl over the risk of reinjuring his tricep may outweigh his and the team’s decision. Especially if he has decided that this will be his last game.
Bonus Birds
11- Postseason wins for the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field since they opened in 2003. This includes a 4–1 record in NFC Championship Games. A true home-field advantage!
12- Playoff games AJ Brown has been in, tied for most by a WR at age 27: h/t Kay Adams.
24- The total amount of yards Quinyon Mitchell has allowed this postseason as the primary defender. He has allowed 5 receptions and has 2 interceptions.
53- The number of wins Head Coach Nick Sirianni has, including playoffs, in his first 4 seasons, 2nd most over the first four years in NFL History. He also has the highest winning percentage among all active head coaches.
55- The amount of points the Eagles scored versus the Commanders. The most ever in an NFCCG!
69.6- Jalen Hurts completion percentage this postseason.
105.0- Jalen’s passer rating during the playoffs this year! 103.7 during the regular season.
147.3 rushing yards per game average for Saquon thus far in the playoffs, which bests his regular-season mark of 125.3.
