Birds fans send Eagles to New Orleans with a spectacular Super Bowl Send-Off Party

Thousands of Eagles fans flocked to Lincoln Financial Field on a chilly weekend morning to celebrate with their Philadelphia Eagles before Super Bowl LIX next weekend. On Sunday morning, The Eagles organization hosted a Super Bowl Send-Off Party presented by Triple-A, with the ticket proceeds benefiting the Eagles Autism Foundation.

Before the team took the stage, fans were treated to performances from the Eagles Cheerleaders and Eagles Drumline. Joy was on fans’ faces from sideline to sideline as many fans stepped foot on the turf between the white stripes or into the painted endzone for the first time. From 10-yard dashes to recreating DeVonta Smith’s toe-tapping sideline wizardry, Philly fans of all ages beamed in the excitement of being on the very field they’ve seen from the stands or on their television sets routinely over the last four months.

Many “MVP” chants were serenaded towards Saquon Barkley as the team highlighted each playoff victory this season on the giant scoreboards inside the stadium. The loudest cheers were for those long touchdown scampers from #26, namely the first touch 60-yard dash in the NFC Championship win against Washington. There was also a lot of love for Philadelphia’s defense on the numerous turnovers that the Zach Baun-led unit has caused this playoff season.

Barkley was joined on stage at the Super Bowl pep rally by Jalen Hurts, Jordan Mailata, Darius Slay, Brandon Graham, and others. Graham, the longest-tenured member of the Eagles roster, is back on the field with the team, which reopened his practice window on Thursday. The NFL veteran’s message to the gathering of Eagles fans was clear and confident. “We are going to go get this win,” Graham said to the crowd. “Get ready for a party on Broad Street!”

The players led one final “Fly Eagles Fly” fight song and a loud “E-A-G-L-E-S” chant before sending the frigid but incredibly delighted fans home. The Eagles have completed their preflight checks and are ready to spread their wings and fly south for another Super Bowl fight against former coach Andy Reid. Philadelphia will practice at the New Orleans Saints practice facility next week prior to Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Big Easy next Sunday.
