The Philadelphia Flyers have officially agreed to a trade in which they will send Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost to the Calgary Flames for Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, a 2025 second-rounder (via CGY), and a 2028 seventh-rounder (via CGY).

Philadelphia was the subject of trade rumors Thursday night against the New York Islanders during the second period. The initial rumor, per Frank Seravalli, was that the Flyers and Flames were looking to make a trade involving Flames forward Andrei Kuzmenko.

The Flames, who played the Anaheim Ducks Thursday night, pulled forward Jakob Pelletier midgame as trade talks continued. Seravalli and Elliotte Friedman indicated that Pelletier would also be involved in the potential trade.

On Philadelphia’s side, Morgan Frost left around midway through the second frame. Following the contest, when head coach John Tortorella spoke to the media, he said Frost was sick, which is why he never returned. When asked about any trade rumors following the game, Flyers captain Sean Couturier said he had no idea and asked what they were.

After Flyers forward Travis Konecny spoke to the media, Seravalli reported on both Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee‘s involvement in the potential deal with the Flames. Flyers general manager Danny Briere did not come out and speak following the news on X.

There were rumors about Rasmus Ristolainen being traded, per the Calgary broadcast, but according to Seravalli, the final deal has Philadelphia sending Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost to Calgary for Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, a 2025 second rounder (via CGY), and a 2028 seventh rounder (via CGY).

The Flyers have a scheduled day off tomorrow.
